The Call

I was driving to church Sunday, January 8 and listening to Christian radio, running late as usual, when I heard a lady come on and talk about how she had been going through a really dark time, but she joined a group and got hooked up with Adventures in Missions and now she’s going to Mexico City for 2 years.  I thought about this.  I thought, “I could do that.  I could really do that.  It would be Africa, but I could do that.”  So, I went into church and was singing along with the songs.  One of the songs, I don’t remember which one, discussed giving it all to Christ and letting Him be in charge of your life.  I gave it up to God and said if you want me to go, I’ll go.

Pastor talked about sola gracia (sp?) that Sunday and how grace is enough.  I realized that God will get me through anything He has called me to do.  Even go to Africa for two years.
