New Families

Currently Beautiful Gate has two children who are in the bonding process with their families.  One is an American family and the other is a Dutch family.  The American family is good friends with Bryan and Anita and it is neat to see how that child is bonding with her new parents.  They were by for a tour yesterday.  They have 3 other children and their new daughter is between 3 and 4.  You can see how happy she is to have a family.  I’m sure there are some times that are rough, but you can tell she’s just so happy to have a family, a Mommy and a Daddy.

The Dutch family came by today for a tour (actually still happening right now).  They adopted a child who is a little over a year old.  I didn’t get to know this child during my time here, but this morning when she came in she was all smiles.  You could tell she’s loving having the one-on-one attention that she doesn’t get with 17 other children in the house.  And the parents, who I believe are first time parents, had such joy on their faces.  They told me that she was saying the Dutch word for Papa already.

It’s so exciting and beautiful to see God’s hand in all of this.  He matches the right children with the right families.  It’s funny how well each child fits into his or her family.  And the love shown by all of these parents to children who are not their biological family is so beautiful.  The Lord shows us the ultimate example of adoption in that He adopted us into His family.  It’s amazing to see this love portrayed in the forever families formed here at Beautiful Gate.

Hi Kristen, Thank you for your encouraging words and yes, adoption is a very beautiful and loving option for families. So glad you are seeing some of the fruit of the labor at Beautiful Gate.
