I try to blog a couple times a week.  Sometimes I blog 5 times, sometimes I blog none.  The main reason is if I have something I wish to blog about.  God often puts things on my heart to share and I love how those posts happen.  I always start thinking the post will go one way and it ends up going in an entirely different direction as I am writing.

When I first arrived, my posts often were about new experiences or things I see that are different from home.  I know a lot of those have stopped, as I’ve stopped having as many new experiences.  As I’ve been here, I’ve found my heart has been broken more and more and I feel the need to share what is on my heart.  Sometimes that is happy stuff and sometimes not so happy.

Often I will share my travels to show you the beautiful country of Lesotho or wherever I happen to be traveling.

And sometimes I just don’t blog.  I either have too much on my mind to be able to put it into words or I just can’t think of something to blog about.

And that is why I’m writing today.  I would like to know if anyone has any questions about my experience here, the inner workings of a care center, Lesotho, or life in general.  Please comment on the blog with those questions and I will try to answer them as best I can in another post.  Just know I can’t share anything personal about a particular child or things like that.

I love writing this blog.  I enjoy sharing my experiences and my heart.  God has helped me deal with some things while writing this blog.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
~ Psalm 23:1-6 (NIV)
